Mattrick has played at many locations worldwide including residencies at HQ (Oxford, UK) and Therapy Sessions (London/Bristol, UK). He's been doing internet radio since 2000, and since 2004 has done a weekly show on Bassdrive, "Subtext". From 2008, the show, which focuses on the deeper (and at times experimental) side of Drum & Bass, is now broadcast on the 1st Sunday of every month.
Some of Mattrick's favourite D&B artists are: D-Bridge, Seba, Paradox, Teebee, Polar, Optical, Ed Rush, Matrix, Data, Cycom, Fracture & Neptune, Jonny L, Latent Notion, Macc, Dom & Roland, Photek & Dillinja before "the change", Alpha Omega, Calibre... you get the picture.
In addition to D&B, Mattrick is happy to play Reggae, Ambient, Oldskool Techno/Electro, or eclectic sets encompassing whatever comes to mind.
Mattrick has been making electronic music for more than half his life, and has released a few 12" D&B singles as Genetic Sequence. He is co-owner of Transmute Recordings, and released on Nu Electro / Beta Recordings. Mattrick has recently been in the studio making Techno, Ambient, Dubstep, and Space Rock, and after taking a break from it, is back on the D&B.
